TRAINING OBJECTIVES
EMDR BASIC TRAINING PART 1
Students will be able to recite a basic understanding of traumatology.
Students will be able to describe the Adaptive Information Protocol (AIP).
Students will be able to recite the History of EMDR.
Students will be able to demonstrate the eight phases of EMDR Therapy with clients that have simple PTSD.
Students will be able to demonstrate client history taking in reference to EMDR Therapy in considering clients for EMDR Therapy.
Students will be able to explain EMDR Therapy to their clients.
Students will be able to implement basic EMDR Therapy within their practice for simple PTSD cases after Phase 1 Training.
Students will be able to implement EMDR Therapy responsibly using their clinical judgment within their therapy practice.
Students will be able to recite the components of memory and how it is related to EMDR Therapy.
EMDR BASIC TRAINING PART 2
Students will be able to recite what the Adaptive Information Protocol (AIP) Mode is.
Students will be able to demonstrate EMDR Therapy and to utilize it responsibly within their therapy practice.
Students will be able to recite how to utilize EMDR Therapy for special situations such as Complex Trauma. Disclaimer: This training does not prepare students to treat dissociative disorders.
Students will learn how to demonstrate advanced EMDR methodologies for specific populations such as children, couples, military, and addiction.
Students will be able to demonstrate a full history taking phase with their clients in discerning simple versus complex trauma cases.
Students will be able to demonstrate a full history taking phase with their clients in being able to discern eligibility of a client being an EMDR candidate.
Students will be able to recite professional, legal, and ethical issues within the use of EMDR Therapy.
Students will be able to recite recent neurobiological research of EMDR Therapy.
