TRAINED VS CERTIFIED

EMDR trained is when a clinician has completed the 50 hours of EMDR Basic Training. EMDR Basic Trainings consist of three parts:

Part 1: 3 day training consisting of education and practicum

Part 2: 3 day training consisting of education and practicum

Ten hours of consultation

EMDR Certification comes AFTER being EMDR trained

In order to be EMDR Certified, you must complete the following:

Complete the 50 hours of EMDR Basic Training

Proof of licensure within your profession

Notarized letter stating you have provided 50 hours of EMDR therapy with at least 25 different clients

Two letters of recommendation

Letter of recommendation from consultant

Twenty hours of consultation with an EMDR Consultant

Twelve hours of CEUs listed on EMDRIA.org
