Intro to Parts Work

Parts Work Therapy, also known as Ego State Therapy, is an evidenced based therapeutic modality that helps clients better understand themselves and heal the different parts within themselves.

Even though Parts Work is often thought of for working with more severe dissociative disorders, such as Dissociative Identity Disorder, it is actually rather versatile in helping all clients regardless of their goals.

In this 2.5 hour course, you will learn the basics and build a foundation in working with parts with your clients as a mental health professional.

Included in this courses are handouts that will be emailed to you and a lifetime access to this video.

Parts Work Therapy

Parts can show up in strong emotions, beliefs, behaviors, and more. We often have different parts with different values and ways of doing things and the tension between these parts cause us distress.

Parts Work Therapy is almost like family therapy but within ourselves or with our one client.

It tends to be the therapeutic modality that helps a client have a break through alongside other powerful therapeutic modalities such as EMDR, Brainpotting and Sandtray Therapy.

“Thank you for a wonderful training. I have read about parts work in the book “No Bad Parts” and attended a Parts Work Retreat but the way the material was presented in this training was by far the most approachable and easy to understand a major strength of this training was the presenter’s ability to turn abstract concepts into a format that gave me a way to wrap my mind around how to conceptualize client’s parts and bring this knowledge into my sessions in a concrete way. I will definitely be returning to my recording and slides as a reference to guide me as I start to delve into this modality.”- JD

“This was a great class for an affordable price. It was just what I needed to further incorporate parts work into my EMDR practice. Sometimes parts work can get a bit heady, but this class honed in on its critical components in a practical, informative way.” -LM
