About the Training

Sandtray Therapy is an evidenced based therapy model used for all ages. It’s a bottom up approach to therapy that bypasses the prefrontal cortex to do deeper subcortical, nervous system, implicit memory work.

Join me for a day of hands on experience through practicums & demonstrations, Sandtray Therapy review, and a chance for you to bring your own cases to present & consult about.

This is a safe space to grow, learn, and get curious- no expertise needed, just a basic training or experience in Sandtray Therapy as a prerequisite.

Objectives

  • Clinicians will be able to identify the themes of Sandtray Therapy.

  • Clinicians will be able to recite and demonstrate the process of Sandtray Therapy.

  • Clinicians will be able to demonstrate 4 Sandtray Therapy interventions.

  • Clinicians will build clinical experience by using Sandtray Therapy with self and other participating clinicians.

  • Clinicians will present and work through several case studies to increase clinical competency.

  • Clinicians will be able to demonstrate how to properly write a therapeutic note for Sandtray Therapy.

  • 8 AM: Sandtray Therapy Process Review

  • 9:30 AM: Break

  • 9:45 AM Case Presentations & Consultation

  • 11:15 AM Break

  • 11:30 AM Case Presentations & Consultation

  • 12:00 PM Lunch

  • 1:00 PM Demonstration

  • 2:00 PM Practicum (Breaks included)

  • 4:00 PM Debrief and Group Tray

  • 5:00 PM End of Training
