MY CLINICAL EXPERIENCE
I, Auriel, have been utilizing EMDR for since 2017 working mainly with adults dealing with complex trauma, dissociative disorders, phobias, chronic illness, and OCD. My practice has taken place within private practice, inpatient facilities, non-profit organizations, and safe houses for human trafficking victims. Alongside these settings, I spent some time in India working with orphanages in teaching TBRI principles to help with attachment healing.
MY EMDR APPROACH
Alongside using the Standard EMDR Protocol, I often utilize other EMDR protocols that match the client’s unique needs and increase healthy attachment. A passion of mine is integrating other bottom up, evidenced based therapies with EMDR for complex cases utilizing Sandtray Therapy, and Parts Work Therapy. Alongside the EMDR Standard Protocol, I often use DeTUR Protocol, Group Trauma Episode Protocol, Attachment Focused EMDR, and CIPOS Method/ Back of the Head Scale.
CONSULTATION APPROACH
Similar to how I counsel, I approach consultation with the consultant’s goals and best interest in mind. I am warm, personable, and knowledgeable. I enjoy teaching, specifically through a neuroscience and creative lens. My goal is to create an empowering consultation atmosphere for my consultees so he or she may feel confident in his or her clinical skills utilizing EMDR with a wide variety of clientele. I provide consultation for those in EMDR Basic Training, seeking EMDR Certification or general EMDR consultation. I have been described as creative, intuitive, and full of ideas which has been helpful for clinicians with more complex cases. However, my natural teaching and consulting style empowers my consultees to grow in their skills, leaving consultations refreshed, empowered, and with new insight.

Professional Developmental
A funny story about me, I was destined to be an entrepreneur since I was a little girl. When I was 8 years old, I was organizing garage sales for people, writing the ad in the paper, bargaining early on Saturday mornings, and taking 25% of the profit and putting the money away in my savings. At 10 years old I was making jewelry and selling it at my public school at recess… later finding out that was against school policies (oops). At 12 years old, I made business cards for myself when I started babysitting. I actually have this business card posted on my fridge.
I love projects, new adventures, and entrepreneurship. When I became a PLPC, I created my own website, rented a space from an LPC (and had my LLC work for her so she could take the direct payment per the licensing board’s ethics) but I successfully had a full case load and became licensed in 2 years. By God’s grace, I now have a group practice of 12 counselors and this wonderful training and consulting business and have “retired” from seeing clients. I have the privilege making a living pouring into other clinicians which is a dream come true!
I share all this because I would LOVE to consult with you, get to know YOU and help you grow and discover your next season… your next dream. This may be helping you transition into your own private practice, starting a group practice, or considering consulting, trainings, or writing an EMDR manual. Truly I want to journey with you, dream with you, and help make your vision come to life. If you are feeling stuck, I want to help envision something that feels more authentically you that brings you joy and life.
Sandtray Therapy
I have completed extensive advanced training and mentorship to provide consultation in complex cases for clinicians utilizing Sandtray Therapy. I have utilized Sandtray Therapy with complex trauma, dissociative disorders, chronic illness, OCD, Parts Work, EMDR, groups, couples, in patient facilities, teens, and children. I have helped sandtray therapists of many years conceptualize through more difficult cases and break through processing “blocks” with their clients utilizing Sandtray Therapy. Consultation is offered to those that are beginners as well as those that have been utilizing Sandtray Therapy for many years.
Parts Work
I have completed extensive advanced training to provide consultation for clinicians utilizing Parts Work (Ego State Therapy). I have utilized Parts Works with a wide variety of clients along the dissociative spectrum up to OSDD and Personality Disorders. I have found Parts Work to be invaluable in helping clients break through trauma, anxiety, relationship struggles, depression, low self-esteem, and blocks in therapy. This is a great therapeutic modality that compliments so many other therapeutic modalities such as Sandtray Therapy and EMDR. Within consultation, I can help you increase your clinical confidence with Parts Work as well as review your current cases.
Complex Trauma | Dissociation | Chronic Illness & Pain
Alongside the above therapeutic modalities, my clinical areas of focus have taken place with working with adults experiencing complex trauma, dissociation, and chronic illness and pain. Often times, all three of these can go hand in hand. A large part of my graduate studies, certifications, mentorship, and client focus has been in this area. Alongside this, I personally have walked with 6 autoimmune diseases and know the unique battles of living with the “invisible disease” and have had the privilege of going to Mayo Clinic. Through my personal, clinical and academic experiences, I bring a unique wealth of knowledge working with trauma survivors and those struggling with chronic illness and pain.
