About the Training

EMDR Therapy is an incredible modality but it is definitely dense with information! Whether you have just completed EMDR Basic Training or have been utilizing EMDR for awhile, you might feel it is time for an EMDR Refresher to review the basics and foundation of what EMDR Therapy is to provide quality care to your clients.

Within this training you will receive:

1. Practical handouts

2. A chance to practice ways to make complex theories more palatable in your own language to explain to clients

3. A chance to dialogue with Q&A

Prerequisite: You need to have completed EMDR Basic Training

Objectives

• Clinicians will be able to describe the Adaptive Information Processing within their own language.

• Clinicians will be able to describe and implement Safe/ Calm Place and Container resourcing exercises with complex trauma and dissociative clients.

• Clinicians will review basic protocols of EMDR Therapy in working with complex trauma and dissociation.

• Clinicians will review and implement various Cognitive Interweaves.

• Clinians will review and be able to describe how to help clients that are abreacting and experiencing blocked processing.

• Clinicians will be able to describe and apply the three prong protocol.

• Clinicians will be able to describe and implement the 8 Phases of EMDR.
