EMDR & Stabilization: Preventing Retraumatization

Have you thought: “How do I know this client is ready for EMDR?” or “I’m afraid I’ll retraumatize this client.” Anytime a client has been “retraumatized” in EMDR it is due to the clinician skipping over and rushing through Phases 1 & 2 in the EMDR Standard Protocol. These are the two most important phases and often seen as “underrated”. For others, they may not have the confidence in knowing how to assess and build trauma stabilization skills for their clients within all areas necessary.

In this training you will get an in depth look at Phases 1&2 of Standard Protocol to ensure client stabilization. This training looks at EMDR Therapy Standard Protocol through the three phases of Trauma Treatment: Stabilization, Processing, and Integration. You’ll leave feeling more confident in preparing clients for EMDR and further your trauma knowledge.
